One Time Video Grants
As a measure to support Peace-Liard artists during the Covid-19 pandemic, the PLRAC has initiated a one-time grant program.
The purpose of the one-time Regional Development Video Grants is to encourage artists of all disciplines to create a video that informs or demonstrates a technique related to their practice to be shared publicly online.
Here’s how it works:
Deadline for Application: April 10, 2020
Eligibility
- Must be a resident or organization residing in northeast BC or be a member of an arts council in northeast BC
- Submit an idea for a video that describes your artistic process, a project you are working on, or a demonstration of a technique related to your practice
- All artistic disciplines are eligible to apply (e.g. visual art, film making, writing, songwriting)
Assessment Criteria
The committee will base its decision on the assessment criteria listed below:
- A clear objective of what will be shared in the video
- Evidence of the applicant’s ability to carry out the video
- Applications will be reviewed on a first come first reviewed basis, but not all applications will necessarily be approved.
- Applicants will be reviewed based on their proposal for a video.
- Once approved, applicants will receive ½ of the grant ($100) and will have two weeks to complete the video
- Once the PLRAC has received the video, the remainder of the grant ($100) will be awarded.
Acknowledgement of PLRAC Support
Successful applicants will have their videos promoted as a Peace Liard Regional Arts Council initiative. The PLRAC logo will be added to the video and a waiver form will need to be signed.
