Artist Statement: The Peace Country, in all seasons, gives lessons in organization, form and colour. I’m thinking of a stand of white-washed aspens with soft linear motifs, light, shade, colour surprise, and varied textures of grass and brush. Magic places along narrow game trails with bird calls, sunlit berries and tangled under growth give off abstract energy and take on a real significance.
