Artist Statement:

The Spatzizi Plateau is part of the Cassiar mountains and is still a splendid and primitive area. Once when I was in our local mountains, a lightning strike hit close to the horses. It happened so fast they didn’t have time to spook! The unique smell of ozone was everywhere. This was my first time trying to paint ozone.
