Artist Statement: While hiking in the Banff area of the Rockies, I spent so much time looking up in admiration at the regal mountains encircling us. Until I looked down. The sounds of the river caught my focus, then the lines of motion in the water current. And then the rocks, polished and crafted by years of contact, worn smooth and clean and bright.
